We are currently seeking a Manager to join our Jakarta office. This role is specifically within the corporate finance and restructuring arena, with significant exposure to financial due diligence, transaction structuring and valuations, debt and corporate restructuring and/or insolvency processes (including receiverships, liquidations or bankruptcies). If you are interested in becoming part of a high caliber team, exposed to a broad variety of work, read on.
- Ideally, the successful candidate will possess the following characteristics: 5+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably obtained with a reputable international accounting firm (audit, corporate finance, transaction advisory, restructuring or corporate recovery) or investment bank (M&A, CF, loan workout) or with the finance function of a large corporate
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills.
- Significant experience in financial due diligences, transaction advisory services and/or debt and operational restructuring.
- Ability to lead and manage various engagements.
- Ability to achieve results in a contentious environment and to develop commercial solutions relating to complex operational issues.
- Excellent communication skills in English. Indonesian language skill (verbal and written) is favourable.
- Competent computer skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Positive attitude and proven work ethic.
- Ability to negotiate.
- Knowledge of relevant Indonesian laws and regulations is an advantage.
- International working experience will be of valuable consideration.
- Ability to travel.
Job opportunities and responsibilities include:
- Executing cross-border advisory, restructuring, recovery and operational tasks relating to underperforming or distressed businesses in Asia.
- Assistance in evaluating options and developing restructuring solutions to distressed businesses.
- Managing due diligence assignments relating to buy-side-and sell-side advisory engagements.
- Reviewing of corporate governance and internal controls and recommend process improvements
- Involvement in turnaround assignments that may include being part of the finance team, evaluating cost-saving measures, enhancing profits, improving reporting system and managing daily trading.
- Conducting financial investigations and identifying fraudulent activity
- Drafting reports for a variety of engagements, including due diligence reviews, information memorandum, restructuring proposals, monitoring reports and forensic investigations.
- Assisting with developing pitches and proposals for potential engagements.
Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Senior Associate position.
